I just thought I should clarify that my last post spoke of BETH'S last day. As I read it again I realized that it might sound like it was my last day here. No sir! I'll be here until May 2. Then I graduate on May 3!

Last Day :0(
On Tuesday Beth had to tour around alone while I went to my internship.
This is a window washer cleaning the window outside of my office.
It looks like he's standing there but he's really hanging on a swing outside of the 11th floor window!
(The dark person off to the left is my office sharer Randy.)

After my internship Beth and I went to the Washington Monument for one last hurrah!
Beth in front of the Washington Monument!
Beth in front of the Washington Monument!
There was water in the reflecting pool!
It was much prettier than when Mom and Dad and I went up because the sun was going down and was shining on the buildings and monuments.
I don't know exactly where it is but my apartment building is somewhere to left and back of the Supreme Court.
Beth and I touching the Washington Monument!
The wind was blowing so hard that every flag was spread fully out. The sound of that many flags fluttering was loud and amazing!
When we were leaving the monument there was perfect lighting for a shadow picture!
Beautiful Sunset!
Mt. Vernon
On Monday, President's Day, Beth and I headed to Mt. Vernon, home of our first President George Washington.
This is Beth and I on the Metro on our way to Mt. Vernon.

I took this picture for Mom and Dad. Do you guys remember when we were in our hotel and I asked what that tree looking thing in the distance was? I'm pretty sure that this is it. It's the George Washington National Masonic Memorial.
This is at the entrance to the Mt. Vernon Estate.
This is a stained glass window from the visitor's center.
This is the house. It's made of wood but the wood was carved to look like white stones!
I wish we could have gone inside but since it was President's Day and it was free there were so many people there and we didn't have time!

These are pictures of a little parade that came through.
This is the Old Vault of the Washington Family.
This is the burial place of George Washington himself!
George is on the right and Martha is on the left!
Here lies George Washington!
I was only a few feet away from him!
I was only a few feet away from him!
Down the hill was a slave burial area.
The slaves are buried somewhere in here.
This is George and Martha's view of the Potomac from their house!
Not a bad view!

Arlington National Cemetery
On Sunday, after the White House, Beth and I headed out to Arlington National Cemetery. This is the view from the entrance to the cemetery.
This is Robert E. Lee's house at the middle of the cemetery.
(Actually, it was his wife's house!)
(Actually, it was his wife's house!)
This is the view from near Kennedy's grave. You can barely see the Washington Monument on one side and the Lincoln Memorial on the other side.
These are Kennedy graves, including JFK and his eternal flame.
These are views of various kinds of headstones throughout the cemetery.
This is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
We got to witness the Changing of the Guard.
We also saw the presenting of wreaths and the playing of Taps.
After a long day of wandering around DC Beth was tuckered out!
Beth in DC!
On Wednesday my best friend in the whole world Elizabeth Wold asked me what I was going to do this weekend and by early Sunday morning she was here!!!!!
On Sunday we headed out and stopped at the Supreme Court. Here is Beth on the steps of the Supreme Court of the United States of America!

These are the golden doors of the Supreme Court Building.
This is me actually touching the door of the Supreme Court!

These are our hands touching the columns of the Supreme Court.
Me, sitting on the base of the columns at the Supreme Court.
If you look closely towards the lower left you can see Beth in front of the Library of Congress. This was Beth's number one place to see in DC!
If the tour guide that took Mom and Dad and I around was correct, this should be George Bush's Church!
This is the front of the White House.
Beth in front of the White House.
Beth and I in the park at the front of the White House.
That's quite the place to live! I wouldn't mind a house like that!
There was a family putting on Santa hats in front of the White House so I volunteered to take their picture. They were taking the picture for their Christmas cards. That's a good idea! Maybe I should do that! You can see the guy wearing his hat.
Then we asked the family to take a picture of us!
Beth in front of a gate at the White House!
If the big white house was not enough to convince you that we were really there, here is a sign that proves we were at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.!
On our way to the Metro from the White House I spotted the American Bar Association and needed a picture!
